The South African Music Research Archive (SAMuRA) follows a clear and transparent workflow for every artist submission. This page explains what happens after you submit your information, how long it typically takes, and how we protect your data.
Your submission moves through five main steps:
Collect → Convert → Generate → Publish → Quality Check
(1 day) (2 days) (1 day) (1 day) (1 day)
All steps shown in red form the critical path. If any step is delayed, the overall processing time shifts. Typical total processing time: approximately 6 working days.
We receive your completed form and confirm that all required fields are present.
Your text is formatted into our internal archive structure (biography, discography, timeline, etc.).
Your information is converted into a web‑ready page for the SAMuRA archive.
Your artist page is added to the live archive and linked to the relevant index pages.
We review the page for consistency, readability, and technical issues before final confirmation.
If you wish to update your profile after publication, you may request an edit link or ticket. Updates follow the same process: you submit revised text, we convert and regenerate the page, and the updated version replaces the previous one. All changes are logged for archival integrity.
SAMuRA only publishes information that you voluntarily provide and intend for public display. We do not request or store sensitive personal information. For full details, please refer to our POPIA Compliance Statement and Privacy Policy.
